Where does the camp take place?
The University of Cincinnati is located just three miles north of Downtown
Cincinnati. The UC campus is easily accessible from I-75, I-74 and I-71.
The University of Cincinnati is also accessible from the Cincinnati/Northern
Kentucky Airport (CVG) which is 20 miles away and the Dayton International
Airport which is approximately 50 miles from campus.
Is there an airport shuttle service?
There will be an airport shuttle for those campers who are flying in from out
of state. The round trip shuttle costs will be: to/from Dayton $70 while the
cost to/from CVG $35. That fee must be paid in advance to save your place on
the Bearcats Soccer Academy shuttle. Flight times for the shuttle will be sent
to you with your confirmation letter.
What equipment should campers bring?
All campers should plan to bring proper playing equipment to camp: cleats,
shin guards, extra socks/t-shirts, sunscreen, water bottle, etc. If you are
attending an overnight camp you will be receiving additional information
with the items you will need to bring with you to the dorm as well as the
necessary travel information.
What type of medical supervision is provided?
There will be qualified athletic trainers on duty throughout the duration of
the camp to care for injuries and to ensure that all campers receive proper
hydration throughout the camp.
What are the camp staff expectations?
Bearcat Soccer Academy staff coaches will ensure the proper development
of each camper and will have direct interaction with the players in their care.
They will be present in the dorms, at all meals and will be available to offer
advice for college bound student-athletes.
What facilities will campers use?
Campers will play and train on Gettler Stadium, home of the Bearcats men’s
and women’s soccer teams. In addition to Gettler Stadium there are several
other sprint turf facilities on campus that we will be utilizing to assist players
in their training. Campers will also have access to the locker room facilities,
the state of the art recreation center at the University of Cincinnati as well as
our world class training room facility. The Bearcat Soccer Academy offers top
notch amenities for our campers to assist in their development.
What are the directions to campus?
From I-75 North or South: Exit at Hopple St and turn left at the set of
lights (east). Cross over interstate and through Central Parkway up the
hill. Hopple eventually becomes Martin Luther King Dr. Follow MLK to the
intersection of Jefferson Ave. Turn right onto Jefferson. Proceed past
the first set of lights and take a right onto Corry Street. The Calhoun
parking garage will be on your left after two stop signs, approximately
100 yards down the road adjacent to Gettler Stadium.From I-71 South: Exit at Taft Rd. Follow Taft to the intersection of
Jefferson Ave. Turn right onto Jefferson. Take a left at the first light
on to Corry Street. The parking lot will be on your left after two stop
signs, approximately 100 yards down the road adjacent to Gettler Stadium.From I-74: (Indianapolis and the west) Take I-74 to I-75 south. Follow
directions above from I-75.
